Nominated for Blogger of the Year and Writer of the Year, I am a creative writer, presenter, passionate mountain biker,  and, some might say, crazy cat lady.

What started as a hobby, mountain biking quickly led me on an incredible journey that I didn’t anticipate. In July 2015, I launched Velo Me, a website dedicated to encouraging more women to push out of their comfort zones and get active outdoors, along with the social women’s club, the Velo Vie Ladies. The momentum from this venture gained a great deal of traction online, via social media and in the UK mountain bike community.

Following the launch of Velo Me, I began working full-time as a Staff Writer at Total Women’s Cycling, the leading online cycling magazine for women. I worked my way up to the position of Editor, where I continued to run the title single-handedly for a further 18 months.

From there I took up the position of Presenter / Off-Road Content Manager at Play Action Sports, working across the GMBN and EMBN channels. I’ve gained valuable skills in presenting to camera both in a studio environment and out on location. Being the first female off-road presenter is a considerable achievement not only for myself but also for women’s representation in this mostly male-dominated sport.

Over the years, I have contributed both written and video work for many other publications including Dirt Mountain Bike Magazine, and I also feature as the subject in a variety of insightful interviews about women in mountain biking.

When I’m not out and about on my bike, I’m usually found cosied up with a cup of tea and my gorgeous cat, Gomez Thunderpaws.
